Three options available: Maternity, Newborn, and IVF. Review of the intended medical policy to confirm if the policy will cover surrogacy maternity expenses, the newborn birth, or IVF treatments. After our specialists complete the review, a report is provided to you with the outcomes and suggested next steps.
A medical insurance policy available under the Affordable Care Act. This policy can be placed during the Open Enrollment period (Nov. 1-Dec. 31 in most states), or if your Gestational Carrier has a need for special enrollment (ex: moving, loss of job, change of jobs, marital status change).
Our Billing Specialists will ensure that your Gestational Carrier’s insurance policy is in good standing by confirming the monthly premium payments are recorded as paid with the insurance carrier. If discrepancies happen, we work with you to get any errors rectified, payments made, and the policy correctly cancelled if/when needed.
Often a required policy as part of the surrogacy contract. Protects the Gestational Carrier’s family in the event of her passing, due to pregnancy.
If the Gestational Carrier is placed on medically required bedrest or hospitalized, this policy provides benefits for lost wages and/or childcare and housekeeping for the GC.
Our experienced Claims Specialists oversee all aspects of the insurance and provider bills for the journey from confirmation of pregnancy to post-birth. Instead of you having to work through what bills are legitimate and what was not processed correctly through insurance, we take care of it all, saving you significant time and stress.
Traditional health Insurance policies often exclude complications of the retrieval and transfer. IVF Complications Insurance is a stand-alone policy and covers hospitalization or emergency room visits due to complications of IVF. This is most often a required policy to have in place with surrogacy contracts.
Lloyd’s of London, specific to surrogacy. Policy options available when the Gestational Carrier’s current insurance does not cover surrogacy or needs a medical policy outside the ACA Open Enrollment period.
While many Intended Parents have U.S. based or global insurance policies, not all policies will cover the newborn birth expenses. We offer several newborn insurance options to ensure the birth expenses and any NICU stay is covered by insurance.
An alternative or addition to Accidental Death insurance. Some Intended Parents and Gestational Carriers choose to place Term Life in conjunction with an Accidental Death policy.
A policy that can be placed if you are in-between other policy options like an employer policy or an ACA policy. Available only in some states.

Additional Information

What’s the next step?  When will we receive more information from ART Risk?

Once this response form is submitted, ART Risk Financial & Insurance Solutions, Inc. (ARS) will reach out to you within 1 business day to provide additional information and assign you to one of our licensed, Dedicated Agents. Your Dedicated Agent will then begin communication to understand your specific needs, contractual obligations, and listen to your questions. Your Dedicated Agent will be your point of contact and will provide all policy information.  Because insurance policies are a contract between the named parties and the insurance carrier, ART Risk Solutions (ARS) is to be held harmless, as ART Risk Solutions is not the insurance carrier, but rather an insurance brokerage firm.  Insurance carriers and Underwriters can change language and contracts at any time. Any explanations and pricing on the ARS website may not be updated in exact real time. Therefore, the policy document is the final determining basis of coverage specifics. We welcome Intended Parents to request a copy of policy language whenever available.
